Dr. Kamaljit Singh Pannu has passed his MBBS and Post-Graduation (MS) in Eye from the prestigious Christian Medical College (CMC) Ludhiana in 1997. He has worked in Sohana Eye Hospital, Mohali and then joined an American Hospital in Nepal, Bhairahawa by working tirelessly with other doctors to tailor to high volume surgery to several of patients in the hospital. 

Dr. Pannu is also a fellow of world renowned Aggarwal eye hospital and learnt the Phacoemulsification procedure of cataract surgery from world-famous Dr. Amar Aggarwal who is also one of the pioneers of phaco surgery in India. After starting his clinical practice in Ropar in April 1999 he and his gynaecologist wife (Dr. Ravinder Kaur Pannu) and two daughters moved in a new upscale modern hospital in the year 2006. He has bagged so many firsts as he was the first eye surgeon in Ropar to start phacoemulsification, foldable implant lenses, use aspheric lenses, multifocal lenses and toric lenses. In 2011 he was again the first to do LASIK LASER in Ropar. By carrying the latest and refined eye healthcare, he has contributed to his social responsibility by helping the poor and needy. Dr. Pannu has organised hundreds of eye camps in the surrounding areas of Punjab and Himachal Pradesh and contributed to the course of relieving preventable blindness.
